Lets Play Catch Up

School is slowly killing me but with one month left I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. So that is my excuse for not blogging recently so let me tell you everything, the good, the bad and the ugly, that are gong on in my life

1. BYU beat Iona last night in a nail biter. Go Cougs. Anyone want to fly me to Kentucky for the game?

2. I lost my inertube waterpolo game tonight. I also came to the realization that I am TERRIBLE at this sport. I didn't score and I barely completed a pass. I got hit in the face. fail.

3. My good friend from home, Hannah came to visit me this weekend! Love her

4. I spend almost every night in the library. FML

5. I get to spend it with these wonderful people

6.  Our crew randomly will run into each other during those late night tests and then celebrate with Sammy shakes afterwards

7. On my facebook this ad popped up. It knows me to well....
Look at the first website

8. Last weekend I went to a Maquerade party with Jeff. Ya we made those masks.

9. It reached 60 these past few days!!

10. I leave for Seattle on Thursday with Lindsey!

Hope everyone has a great week! Love you all.

Twin Day!

So the other day I was eating lunch in the Wilk when all of a sudden my twin comes walking towards me.  My twin aka Lindsey Frey decided to wear the EXACT same outfit that I wore. Let me back up and give you the story to all of this:

For Christmas Linds and I got the same exact plaid shirt from Eddie Bauer, super random. Ever since Linds will ask me weekly to wear that shirt on the same day as her but I always decline. I made the mistake a few weeks ago wearing the shirt, with a belt, and lipstick because Linds came to school wearing the shirt, a belt, and lipstick. Yes, we did have class together and yes we did sit next to one another. So I have not worn that shirt again in fear. But on Thursday morning I woke up and found that Lindsey was sick and she told me that she was not going to school that day. It hit me I can wear that shirt!! So I wore it with a blazer, black flats, and blue jeans. Struttin off to school I was thinking that I was super sneaky and so happy that I can wear this shirt. For lunch I met up with a good friend from Jerusalem. And thats when I saw her. Linds comes into the wilk with her plaid shirt, black flats, blazer. Not only was it bad enough that we had lunch together she thought it would be funny to link arms and walk to the library together. We got so many stares and we could hear people whispering things like "I just don't people" or "How old are we?" The worst part is that I agree with everything that they are saying. We decided to top off the night with a date at Slab Pizza.

Oh how I will miss this

Moab

Over presidents day weekend the Hopkins family was gracious enough to allow Ryan to invite his roommates, Melissa and I to Moab!! We drove down friday afternoon after all of our tests, classes, meetings, etc.  I was glad that I picked Derek's car because it only took us 3 hours where as the other car took 5. Blame it on Jake's direction skills. When we arrived they made us homemade hamburgers. So amazing. I am always so grateful for the homecooked meals, I tend to forget what it is like to eat food other than rice, beans, and pasta. After dinner we relaxed in the hot tub and got a good nights sleep.

Saturday morning we woke up to the smell of bacon and sausage, much like Micheal Scott off of The Office did, until he burnt his foot. We got ready, packed huge bags of Trail Mix and headed off to the arches. We first hiked to Delicate Arch which was amazing. We could not ave asked for better weather, low 50s, perfect.
Jake Cha Harouny, the one man wolf pack
 Ed Tebowing

 We had to....its tradition

Now for my favorite photos of the trip: the dinner group's family photos. While taking these you would hear them say things like, "wow, we REALLY need girlfriends" or "what happened to us?". Nonetheless these guys are great and I love them.

after hiking delicate arch we stopped at some random place, got out, picked a random rock and had lunch then we made our way to Longitude arch.
So background to this picture: Ryan falls asleep in the Strangest positions, and can stay asleep for hours. So we came across this branch and noticed that it looked like ryan when he sleeps so we took a picture of him and his doppleganger branch
Ed giving his famous "angry piano finger" massages
That night we went out to eat at some Mexican restaurant and then topped of the night with scary stories. Sunday we went to church and then came home watched movies and played games like signs, the animal sounds game, and banana grams for hours. Such a good weekend and it has been hard transitioning back to the wear and tear of school. Well have a great week!

Valentines Day

Let me some up my Valentines day......
Yes my mom was the only one who gave me valentines gift  it was this:

Thanks to the dinner group guys, Rob, and Micheal for spending Valentines with your favorite girls at Chandell 897
Yes, we did all match on Sunday by wearing black and pink to church and yes it was totes adorbs

You may ask yourself why are 3/4 of these beautifuls girls single? Well let me tell you....
We all suffer from FOW Syndrome (Flavor of the Week Syndrome)
It is a terrible disease where we see the CUTEST boy that ever walked this BYU campus, we come home and go on and on about him to our roommates (and the guys at the tree house who participate in Girl Talk), facebook stalk him and all of the girls that he has taken a picture with in the past 6 months, give him nicknames, talk about how we made that "eye contact", think about how we can talk to him or text in a non-creepy way,  plan our wedding with him with the help of pinterest,  and fall in love.
Then either one of the three things happen:
1. He doesn't ask us out within a week of our  "first encounter" so we get the hint and move telling ourselves that we can do better. This happens 99% of the time. But let me say that a lot of the times we don't talk to the guy so he doesn't know we are interested. If he only knew....
Or
2. We talk to him and find out that he either is a gamer, eats disgusting food, has a weird habit, hangs out with "trashy" girl and we realize that we are better than that. Yes, these are actual reasons why we moved on from previous FOW
or
3. We see a guy on campus who is THE HOTTEST guy that ever lived in Provo and completely forget our petty love for boy #1 and then repeat the steps above.

This is a terrible disease and the only cure is to actually find "the one" and until then we will continue celebrating Valentines Day alone and have a new Flavor of the Week.

The Cinnamon Challenge

So over the weekend my friend showed me this video of our good friend Tracy.
Glozelle's cinnamon challenge

So we decided that we needed to replicate it by making this video.
Jeff's Cinnamon Challege

Yep, this is what we do in college instead of studying.
Sorry for some reason it would not let me post the videos directly on here but I hope you enjoy.

Sundance Film Festival

I can finally check off something on my bucket list: Sundance Film Festival. I have lived here for three years now and never been! So this past weekend it was my friend Adam's birthday so we went up there for some star searching, movie watching, and party hopping. Sadly we did not complete any of those but it was still fun. We ate at the Red Banjo and walked the streets. Downside: it felt like it was -2 degrees. Upside: Watching all of the 40-50 year old women walking around completely wasted. We attempted to go see a movie but it cost too much for us poor college students. Here is half of our group:

The next day we went wedding dress shopping for my roommate Lindsey!! I wish i could post the picture of her because she looks B-E-A-UTIFUL  in her dress but I don't want Mark to get a sneak peek. So just take my word for it that on her wedding day my roommate will be looking hot. We also are starting our LGN diet and 6 week 6 pack so we can all be in shape for the Big day.

Happy birthday Roomate

Happy happy birthday to the best roommate in the world, Lindsey Emma Frey.
On this day (or yesterday if you are counting that she was born in Germany) 21 years ago Lindsey came into this world and has blessed with her presence.
As a little present to her I would love to share about the Lindsey that I know and that most people don't get to see.

1. She is a part-time model

2. If she were an animal she would be a camel

3.  A typical morning consists of her and I waking up to music, followed by a good dance

5. She LOVES donuts
6. So fashion forward
 7. She is an avid reader and everynight she puts on her head lamp to read

But seriously, this girl is one in a million and I can't imagine my life without her. When we met freshman year we hit it off right away and have been inseparable ever since (we really haven't spent more than 2 weeks apart in like 2 years.) She is the greatest at giving relationship advice, encouragement when I am down, and the best at distracting me from ever doing homework. I could not ask for a better friend and I am so thankful for her in my life. We have been through a lot together and we can pretty much read each others mind. We may never agree on the same type of movies but you can always count on us having some type of bet for Costa Vida.
Lindsey I love you and here are some of the good times we have had together over our friendship

I love you Lindsey!!
