Mela and I decided to dress up as Batman, which was easy to run in but there were some creative costumes like a shower, oompa loompas, minnions (from despicable me), sumo wrestlers, and pretty much anything else you could think of. I don't know how they could run 13 miles in that but props to them. One of the best parts was at the finish line we had some supporters that cheered us to the finish!
I am so proud that I did it but I could not be happier that it is over and boy is my body feelin it today. Stairs are my arch nemesis. It feels like knives are stabbing through my legs with each step. Do I regret it? nah but I do regret that I decided to go dancing til 1 am on friday night and then wake up at 5:15 to get to the race. Probably should have rested and planned that better but hey I am only in college for a few short years and I have to live it all up.
So speaking of the Halloween festivities, this weekend was busaaay. Friday night we had a wedding for a friend that went to Jerusalem then we rushed back to watch the end of a sad BYU game. But I must say they played better than I thought they would. Then it was the infamous Alpine Halloween dance party. There were thousands of people there (and I am not exaggerating) literally thousands. Sometimes it was just too crowded and I was getting pushed and shoved all over the place. We ended up in the outskirts of the dance and just danced our hearts out. Saturday night started out with some good ole' BYU basketball, I would go into how obsessed I am with the bball team but I will save that for it's own post someday. We had to leave early and go watch our really good friend play at the Velour. I had heard him play before but man he was so good and I was so impressed. All I have to say about the concert is that you gotta love the indie scene in provo. you know what I mean.
The rest of the night we went to a few different house dance parties with the dinner group boys, jerusalem friends, and of course my roomies. They were all a big success and it was so much fun going to the different parties and dancing the night away. Not going to lie when the clock struck midnight I turned into a pumpkin and was ready for bed. So tired. But dad you would be proud and even though my body was aching and my feet were killing me I persevered and danced the night away- I know where I got my moves. Well I need a nap so thanks for everyone who actually read this entire thing. I know it was long but I will post in the next few days. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Here some candid shots from the dances. I changed costumes and was a flapper for the night.

i love that you had multiple halloween costumes. also, i love the batman undies... over the stretch pants. hah.
